12 JYOTIRLINGA - OMKARESHWAR JYOTIRLINGA

From the Vindhyanchal range in Madhya Pradesh, India's largest river, the Narmada, turns westward with bullets in that range.

The deep and wide river seems to have penetrated all the sins and sorrows of the people and delivered them from these. The Narmada River, which flows mainly into the mountains, is also known as the "Revs".

The smooth, round stones found in the river are called "BanaLingas". "Narmada then Kankar, UtteShankaris the belief of devotees. Thus, Narmada is also known as the" Shankari river. On the banks of the Narmada river, there is a large island where the fourth site of JyotirLingas "Omkaram Mamleshwar" is located.

The island and the river are shaped like "OM" and thus lower its name. It's natural. The devotees around the temple consider themselves blessed because they perform the Parikrama or Circumambulation of Omkara itself and the Darshan of the sacred JyotirLinga.

The banks of Narmada and the island are extremely beautiful. The beauty of Nature here seems believable. Houses lined with green, sturdy mountains, the temple, KotiTeerth found in waterfalls and valleys such as the Chakrateert are some of the places to be seen.

One can see very big fish and crocodiles in these waters. There are many trees with beautiful creepers in them all. Groups of monkeys live in these trees. There are many kinds of birds. The towers of the temple look shiny and glistening in the middle. The whole spirit echoes with the sound of "Om Namah Shivaya".

It is here that King Sankara takes the body of Omkareshwara "and" Amaleshwara ", in the form of JyotirLinga. The waters of Narmada come from Arghya (holy water) or Jalahari of Omkar JyotirLinga and flow through the mountains, below and later in the invisible stream, Narmada joins the deepwater source next to the Omkareswar Experimental image.

It flows in there. When more bubbles appear below this spring, it is said, King Lank Shankar is overjoyed. King Mandhata made this shrine his capital. Therefore, the area is also known as Omkar Mandhata. Five generations of Mandhata are here and today.
